Updates & Upgrades

As Paralog is continually developed and improved, it is a good practice to regularly install the latest version.

The current version of Paralog for Windows and Linux is version 5.1.3, released 06/30/08; 4.1.11 for OSX.

Updates (i.e. moving from 4.0.0 to 4.0.x or 4.1.x) provide minor enhancements and bug fixes to Paralog and are free of charge.

Upgrades (i.e. moving from 4.x to 5.x) provide major functional enhancements to Paralog and require an upgrade of your license when applied after the 90 day support period.

Upgrades to the next major version are at half price. The half price policy only applies to the next major version. If you skip a major version (for instance, by upgrading from version 3 to version 5) you will need to pay full price.

To install an update/upgrade, download and run the installer, answering 'NO' when asked to overwrite files. This will leave your existing data, settings and licensing information intact. Nevertheless, a backup of is never a bad idea!
